Tokology 301 is a study group for aspiring midwives who have completed Tokology 251, or have requested and received approval due to special circumstances. Participants who are not already apprentices and midwife assistants are encouraged to look into their options for internships and/or apprenticeships.
Tokology 301 continues the ambitious schedule of reading midwifery text books. In this class, will cover the first half of Holistic Midwifery, Volume 2 - Care During Labor and Birth by Anne Frye and learn more valuable midwifery skills. We will be learning about the process of birth and appropriate care provided during labor, birth and the immediate postpartum period. Tokology 301 meets weekly for ten regular "class" days and a "final exam" day where we will test over the material we have covered.
Past T301 students are welcome to repeat the lessons with us, for free!
We are now taking students for the next 301 group, which will begin in January, May or September depending on when we have enough students signed up. We will meet in Stockton or Springfield, depending on the class composition and have a distance learning option for students who cannot be physically present in class each week. Please contact us if you would like more information.
